Celebrating Color, Texture and Natural Beauty

Who’s Bill

My passion for photography began in 1983 while taking a class in Monterey California. My teacher, I soon learned, was an instructor for Ansel Adam’s Yosemite program.  Besides seeing the magic of an image come to life in a developer tray, learning the Zone System opened my eyes to the world of light, exposure and textures.

The inspiration for my photography comes from watching Mother Nature live and breathe. Over the years, I have grown to appreciate the uncommon perspectives of nature – Abstract art in a sense. Throughout my journey, I have gathered a wonderful collection of images.

Besides photography, I enjoy music, both singing and playing. I have an affinity for drumming which began at an early age. In my earlier years, I was a CPA (still am) and built some powerful financial/data systems for prominent Fortune 500 companies. I left the corporate world in 2006 where I was involved in business process improvement.

I hope my photo blog brings you joy and inspiration and as much enjoyment as I have finding photographs and writing about my experiences.
